A remanded M/B(I hope I picked the right one):

Memory to start off the server:

A pair of drives:

Well I have been spending more time reading, and trying to take in what ever I can:) This is yet another board that does not take ECC memory. Should I care more about that, than other things? All this server will be used for is mainly a media server. The media will be changed every week or more, so the concern that data loss is not to much of a worry for me. Thank you for any input.

The price difference between ECC and non-ECC in a new system is just too small to risk silent data corruption or complete pool loss imo.
Up to you of course.

If you do not value the data, then ECC is not important. Simple as that.
