I have an old hi-fi setup that I wanted to get a Roku Soundbridge to stream from FreeNAS's FireFly server, only to find out that Soundbridges are no longer in production. All of the alternatives I've found don't seem like they will play nice with FreeNAS(or as nicely as the Roku did)...

Does anyone know of a piece of hardware that will do what the Roku did(outputs analog audio, don't need to hook it to a TV, wifi) that can either interface with the included daap server or has an almost-as-simple setup(I'd rather not use upnp, though)

Have you tried ebay? I picked up a Roku Soundbridge for $20 two years ago. If you were in NZ, you could have mine. I'm not really up to speed with these devices but how about seeing what Sonos or Logitech have. Investing in a decent DAC is a good start

eBay is my next and last resort, I've seen one or two on there. I've looked around, nothing fits the bill quite like the Roku did, unless there is an easy way to get Logitech's SlimServer running on FreeNAS
