Hello.

I spend already several days to find the root cause and to fix this problem.

I find out, that the resolv.conf does not contain the default IP4 gateway as the main FreeNAS installation.

The content of the resolv.conf is
# Generated by resolvconf
nameserver fd00::ca0e:14ff:xxxx:xxxx
(xxxx is just my manual masking).

If I replace this by my default Ip4 gateway, then the access to internet works.
But it will be overwritten, if the jail is restarted.

Put something in the Network->Global Configuration for the Nameservers.

I believe that will solve your problem sir

You may need to configure the gateway manually for a jail.

When I moved my freenas from static, the jails no longer worked until I manually input each jail's gateway. Strange, but it worked for me.

In your jail setup go to advanced settings and enter your DNS IP address.

You mean 'IPv4 default gateway:'? I've already put my DSL router IP - no (positive) change.

In meantime, I re-installed the FreeNAS from scratch, new setup it - still just IP6 name server, which somehow does not works for the jail.

# Generated by resolvconf
nameserver fd00::ca0e:14ff:fe24:xxxx

If I edit this file manualy to the my DSL router IP, then it works. Until jail restart, when the resolv.conf will be overwritten again.

Perm1990,

Are you using IPv6 only? Typically I would expect to see an IPv4 address in resolv.conf.

Could you show us the freenas network settings, as well as the jail settings?
Network -> network summary
and
jail -> edit -> advanced?

I see you're adapter is lagg0. Are you using link aggregation?
Can you test without the lagg configuration? I know from what I've seen on the forums that a misconfigured setup can cause a lot of issues, and it seems a good idea to test simple.

Unfortunately, I don't know ipv6, or lacp, so I'm not sure how much help I'll be.

Hi.
So, I deleted my link aggregation. I restarted my FreeNAS.
It looks ok so far - the jail takes the right gateway IP.
Thank you.
