After last update, in 9.3 stable, shell no longer works.

On clicking "Shell", a narrow vertical window appears, showing the text "Loading". This hangs there for like 5 seconds, and then disappears. Nothing appears in the bottom three-line window.

This has been tried in Firefox on Solaris, and latest Firefox and system default web browser under windows 10.

I have a workaround, enabling sshd and configuring a user using jexec in the top environment .

like so:
jexec <jailname> sh
# vi /etc/.....

and so on and so forth

Hardware specs?

Anything in /var/log/messages after you try to open shell?

Happens sometimes, have you tried rebooting?

I had rebooted, twice I think, but I did it again, and it worked.
Thanks.

Still: A bug?? Well known? In line for fixing??

I'd say it's a feature, not a bug--the GUI shell is garbage anyway, so you're much better off using SSH. But that glib answer aside, it probably isn't intended behavior.

If this is so, the web gui should include a way to enable ssh in a jail
