AFP home shares not working

Hey guys,

I've configured AFP sharing, enabled the home directories option and specified the base directory where my home directories reside. As I understand it, this is supposed to make each users home dir appear as a share when connecting to the server with that given user?

Eg: /mnt/homes/user1 should be listed as a share when "user1" is connecting? (if /mnt/homes is specified as the "Home directories:" option in AFP configuration)

Am I wrong? This doesn't work out for me. I only get a listing of the other shares, explicitly created by me.

i ran into the same problem last night. Using Shell Window to navigate to the mount directory, the user home directories exist, they just aren't visible when mounting the share via Finder
