Advise on performance of new build

I just used a simple power measurement device like the Killawatt, so there is no possibility of the thing shutting off power to the server. That said, one obviously would want to shut down the server gracefully before plugging in the server and starting it up again.

As for badblocks, my wetware was faulty. My torture tests are ongoing too. But so what… it just takes a few days and meanwhile my NAS is 100% available.

My first three used disks are fine. All of them have zero errors, 100% helium, and about 25k hours. Running the second long SMART test now. Then it’s on to the second batch. My drives are a bit lower capacity so it’s not surprising my array finished sooner.
