Hello there and thank you for taking the time to read this thread!
I am running into a stinker of an issue that I can't seem to find anyone else running into, at least not one where a solution was found.
We are running TrueNAS-Scale version 22.12.3.3 and migrating our Windows file share/ACLs over to the new device using Teracopy. Everything was working perfectly until we added a condition to limit access to the Everyone group in Advanced security.
Now, all of the files with the Everyone group applied we bring over show the following, and the Everyone group is no longer available:
From the TrueNAS share, I see the following in Advanced security and am guessing it is related to the issue:
Everything else is working perfectly, the ACL's transfer over and access is as expected, we only have this one little gotcha. Any ideas on how to get the TrueNAS share to successfully contact AD related to the error above? Or have any other idea what might be going on? FYI, I did test that Teracopy worked successfully to another Windows share, and we are using Directory Services not LDAP.
