Hi,

I'm new to the FreeNAS system. I would like to know if I add manual new disk to the system with already 3 disks do I lost data on a new disk or to other 3 disks? (i get warning "Existing data will be cleared")

Thanks for help and answers

You can't really add just one disk. If you do that you will end up with zero redundancy. To add disks you should follow the manual and use the extend pool options. You need to do some research on how zfs works.

Thanks for your answer!
Can you help me with some easy points on how to extend my total HD capacity? Now I have three disks of 2TB each (actual space is now of 3.8TB, mirroring system). I would like to ad additional three disks of same space (2TB).
I know that is explained everything in manual but it's much easier if someone explain to you wit some steps.

Thanks and best regards
