Given my system specks, should I use ZFS or UFS? Also this computer was running an older FreeNAS and it only has 1 HDD and no usb or cd that it was running off of.

OK, I'm get an old drive that I don't use and install FreeNAS on that and use the 2TB for storage, because i don't want the students to steal the flash drive.

well if i'm going to do that i may as well just use the old HDD that was in there, and just add the 2TB for storage and then I don't haft to mess with users and such.

Ok so I put the old drive back in and added the 2TB drive. Is there any way that I can use it as extra storage for Sign Lab Data, like in the 2nd screen shot

You could get a internal usb header and plug the usb on the adapter. As it will not be visible from outside after cabinet is closed, it might not get stolen.

Cyber Jock I did not read the rules like I should have. But Good news is I've now shared the new drive with the network and will be copying the stuff from the Old drive on to my new one, then upgrading to FreeNAS 8.

Thank you guys for all you help. :) Cyber Jock, Ummm dat profile pic.
