I need to setting and tuning acl/dataset.
I have read a lot of docs and view more video tutorial, but not sure what is best way for below usage.
I have a truenas storage, thanks to users of this forum we have flashed H200 on R710 and work perfect.. :)
So
We need firt off all to put on this storage 5TB of dir and files.
After we link to A/D.
And after this we need to setting permissions, there will be 15 users.
About this scenario, we are a lot confused about dataset, share and permission.
What's best and more simple way, that can be managed, for setting who can view what?
how best way to segment and give to any user only access to directory group?
what's not clear, for example, if user have access to 10 directory, I need to create 10 dataset? And then how can I put inside 1 share?
goal: user see "storage" share (windows share SMB) with only dir and files that has permitted
example:
master
|------dir-A
|------ dir-A1
|------ dir-B1
|------ dir-A2
|------ dir-B2
|------ dir-C1
|------dir-B
|------dir-C
user_1 : see all
user_2 : see dir-A & dir-C (and all inside)
user_3 : see dir-A & dir-C (and all inside but not dir-B1)
user_4 : see dir-A1 & dir-A2
and so..
5TB is not a lot, but there is a lot of dir and a lot of segmentation.
