So apparently when you execute
Code:
apt-get purge nvidia.
you remove a part of truenas.

I completely missed that and the big question now is, how do i reinstall truenas?

running apt-cache search does not give the needed package.

The system will boot with "TrueNAS Scale GNU/Linux Initial-Install" of course all my settings are gone.
What is different between the two?

Reinstall from scratch or use the original boot environment, and then upload your config file.

This highlights one of the nice things a SysAdmin can do with ZFS, make alternate boot environments.

In the future, you might create and boot off a new boot environment before making serious changes. That way you have an easy backout plan. Just reboot and select the prior boot environment.
