5x1TB Volume - Only produces 4.5 Capacity

Hello experts,

I've created a 5TB Striped Volume using UFS filesystem.

Now my issue is, it only show 4.5 TiB Capacity and 4.1 TiB available space. what happened in this case? im sure i've created a striped raid.

normaly Disk measure storage in MB or TB ( 1 terabit = 10^12 bits = 1.000.000.000.000 bits) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terabit

But FreeNAS tell you the space in TiB ( 1 tebibyte = 2^40 bytes = 1.099.511.627.776 bytes) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TiB

(5x1.000.000.000.000)/1.099.511.627.776= 4,54 TB

FreeNAS also carves a chunk off each disk to use as swap space, so this will effect your total as well.

I would say there is nothing unreasonable about having 4.1T usable when you've put together 5x1T.
