5 Disk RaidZ2 ~ non optimal?

Hi there,

I'm setting up FreeNAS volume. I have 5 x 4TB drives right now, and I'd like 12TB available w/ dual disk redundancy. Any idea why it tells me it is non optimal?

Maybe I answered my own question - looks like this performance issue is only for high performance SANs or something like that...

Ideally you should have 6 drives instead of 5. But I doubt you'll see any difference in speed if this is a home setup. Should still saturate GbE.
