As title, shutdown the NAS to add a UPS and when I restarted it it hung on importing zfs pools

Had to hookup a pikvm to see what it was doing.

I've managed to get it up (enough for tonight anyway) by booting into a rescue shell, then systemctl isolate multi-user.target and starting nginx.
Also the grub menu had thousands of entires, it seemed there were several thousand snapshots of the boot volume (I cleaned snapshots to see if it made any difference it did not).

It's a QNAP TS-653D with 20GB ram, j4125 CPU

4x 3TB hdd and 2x 500GB SSD.

I might explore alternatives as whilst I like the truenasUI I seem to be using the box more as a container host for my home automation stuff and using nextcloud rather than the NAS services provided by truenas.

EDIT:

So Scale does eventually start once the importing ZFS pools hits the 15minute timeout.

EDIT2:
Ended up installing debian on the box, I think it will work out better for my use case.

Looks like OP found a better way to do what he wanted to do. In case anyone else comes across this thread, there are several Jira tickets open for this issue as of this post. The main ticket is NAS-114121 for anyone who comes across this later.
