12.0-U8.1 Core - SABnzbd - Partial plugin

Hello,

I am unable to install SABnzbd plugin, as it is failing on install (as per error below). I am unable to connect via the shell for long enough to ascertain what is happening.

System: TrueNAS-12.0-U8.1 Core
Plugin: SABnzbd v3.5.3
Errors:
1) /usr/local/etc/rc.d/sabnzbd: WARNING: failed to start sabnzbd
2) Error: sabnzbd had a failure Exception: RuntimeError Message: Last 10 lines: /usr/local/etc/rc.d/sabnzbd: WARNING: failed to start sabnzbd sabnzbd not running? (cat). sed: /usr/local/sabnzbd/sabnzbd.ini: No such file or directory /usr/local/etc/rc.d/sabnzbd: WARNING: failed to start sabnzbd Partial plugin destroyed

I confirm I also cannot install the Deluge plugin, as well as the SABnzbd plugin. Other plugins do work though (e.g. NZBget)

I've had exactly the same problem and haven't found what's causing the issue. Plus being an absolute NOOB with anything Linux, it's even harder

However I followed the instructions in this post https://www.truenas.com/community/t...arr-transmission-and-sabnzbd-11-3-u3-2.86031/ and manually installed SABnzbd. It's a bit fiddley, but it's working (although yet to fully test it).

Not really a solution though, but an effective workaround.

Luke try to find github developer of SABnzbd. I posted my issue to the Deluge dev at https://github.com/jsegaert/iocage-plugin-deluge-pip/issues/8

He reported that he thinks there is some issue with pip commands which is usually executed during installation. This maybe causes your problem.

How could I install the plugin now?

pkg install py38-pip in truenas shell doesn't seem to work ...

I'm guessing you're saying the plugins not working now? If not probably raise with the developer.

I haven't had it installed, was a fresh install - I thought you got yours working. Guess need to wait for the developer.

Yes there was an issue with python, which the developer fixed, and since then I installed the plugin just fine.

If you have an issue, it sounds different to my issue.
