I upgraded to 11.3 U2 a few weeks ago and so far so good! I just was going through some maintenance and realized about half of my periodic snapshots are showing as legacy and the other half are not. For the life of me, I can't figure out what is different between them, nor what this actually means.

Is there any advantage to the new system vs legacy? And would I just have to recreate the legacy tasks as I don't see an "upgrade" option.

Any help insight to this would be great!

According to /usr/local/lib/python3.7/site-packages/middlewared/plugins/snapshot.py (the code for the snapshot GUI), legacy snapshots are those tied to legacy replication tasks. Legacy replication tasks are those using the legacy SSH keypairs, under System->SSH Keypairs.

It's up to you whether to recreate the legacy snapshots/replication tasks/SSH keypairs. If things are working, might as well leave well enough alone.
