Hello All,

I have not found an answer to this problem yet please forgive me if there is one.

I have a fresh install of esxi 6.7 on a dell r720.

I am able to install an instance of FreeNAS but when I add the disks (PCI Passthrough of LSI/DELL HBA) to the VM it fails every time upon boot. It gets almost all the way to the point of booting but fails at "syncing multipaths..." the VM just abruptly powers off without any other information. I have tried increasing resources to ridiculous amounts 48GB Ram + 4 Cores (which for an empty array I consider "ridiculous").

Please help!

Thanks

We would need to have you review the forum rules. Once you have done that and posed the needed information, we can take a closer look. I have a few ideas but at this point they would be little more than random guesses.

I run 11.2 on ESXi 6.5U2. Did you reserve all memory allotment on the vm? Did you enable and pass through the entire HBA or each connected drive to the VM? Is the HBA on the compatibility list for both ESXi 6.7 and Freenas?
