10gb SFP+ Card

Hi all,

I'm looking to know if anyone has a list of supported 10gb SFP+ cards that comes with full height brackets.

I currently have the HP NC523SFP QLE3242-HP Dual Port 10Gb Ethernet and it doesn't work as it's not able to get a DHCP address or static address.

Please note this is going to be connected to an Unifi 48 port switch via a copper direct attach cable.

If you could send me a list or some recommendations that would be great

The go-to recommendations here are Chelsio, Intel, and to a somewhat lesser extent Solarflare.

Your card is a QLogic QLE3242 rebranded by HP.
It is an intelligent card that supports iSCSI but the driver support is poor on many operating systems
Basically it should well only with Linux and so with TrueNAS Scale.

For TrueNAS Core, I recommend the Intel X710 (PCIe 3.0) or else the Intel X520 (PCIe 2.0)
The main benefit of Intel NICs, is that they work everywhere, in particular with VMware ESXi.

The Chelsio T520 (PCIe 3.0) or else T420 (PCIe 2.0) are also very good choice for TrueNAS Core, but they probably do not work with any version of VMware ESXi.
