There's stuff sprinkled around about what 10G cards are supported in FreeNAS. Since there seems to be a lot of questions about what works and what doesn't, I thought I'd post what I have experience with and perhaps others will as well.

I know that the Honorable Developers ship Chelsio based cards on their commercial products.

My own $dayjob uses SolarFlare based cards (SFN5192) and Chelsio (S320E-CR) without issues.

FreeBSD 9.2 also supports intel 10G via the ixgbe driver, my home machine has an Intel X520, which is currently stricken by the ixgbe TSO problem.

Here are some links that describe the problem:
So, if you have a card using the ixgbe driver and are experiencing hangs and NFS problems. (I counted 5-6 threads in the help forums in the last 12 months) Issues with the way FreeBSD handles TCP segmentation offload may be to blame.. Or maybe not.. :)

I bought a solar flare card for my home machine and ditched the Intel until the bugs are solved.
