Hi, with a Nextcloud 21.0.4 jail installation on a TrueNas server i had to replace the jail file /etc/ssl/cert.pem here are the commands: jls 1 sh sudo su mv /etc/ssl/cert.pem /etc/ssl/cert.pem.bkp curl https://curl.se/ca/cacert.pem >> /etc/ssl/cert.pem hope this help!

I would try to reinstall the OnlyOffice app inside nextcloud. If that doesn't work, I would try to reinstall the OnlyOffice server.

Hi all, looking for some help with the script. Complete newb to Truenas Core and everything here in general, but managed to previously set up Nextcloud on Scale. Basically, followed the script instructions word for word, everything ran nicely, and then I end up with: View attachment 72527
When I try to access Nextcloud. What's the most common reason for this? My config file looks like this:

DEFAULT_GW_IP="10.0.0.1"

The only discrepancies that I can think of is that I've run the script in the GUI shell, multiple times, including after deleting the datasets, re-creating them, and deleting the jail; the other issue is my router not having the ability to port forward specific IP addresses or point a domain name to an internal address. To combat the second issue, I've edited my hosts file on my client computer as advised by the github.

Any help is appreciated! I want to get this thing up and running.

When you go inside the jail and do service caddy status what happens?

Try restarting your jail to begin with and see if that does anything.

Oh I'm not sure if my images are showing up - the error when I visit the domain is "Hmmm… can't reach this page Check if there is a typo in nextcloud.xxxxxxxxx.com." Not a certificate error, I don't think.

When you ping nextcloud.xxxxxxxxxxx.com, do you get your jail IP?

Not sure what ping means in this context, but if I try to visit it through the browser, nothing shows up, just a "can't reach this page error". Might it have something to do with my ISP's terrible restrictions (no port forwarding to IP addresses, only to connected devices, or DNS settings)?

Ah so that looks like the issue, the ping says that it could not find the host. What do I have to change to get the domain name connected to the IP? I've changed the hosts file on my client computer and such.

Correction, now it does show! I had the subnet in the hosts file, so I had formatted it wrong. I also found out that the jail IP will show on my ISP settings if I change the jail to use DHCP autoconfigure (not sure if that will change anything/be needed). Now it's just a certification issue: NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID.

And now the only thing you should need to do is obtain a trusted cert. Which is documented in the script instructions on github.

You are using a very old version of TrueNAS (FreeNAS) at this point. I would suggest first updating that. Then you will probably have to upgrade your jail (instruction are found elsewhere on this forum) and then update nextcloud. Nextcloud latest version is 27 right now.

Doing upgrade my freenas version won't affect to nc server in jail ? I mean my nc server will not broken if i upgrade my freenas version?

Is your current jail a warden or an iocage jail? Of course there is a chance that it will break as with any upgrade. But in your current state of multiple EOL releases behind you will not be able to do (install, upgrade) anything. Anything but TN 13.0 is unsupported. You could theoretically upgrade your TN to 12.0 and upgrade the jail to 12.4 but support for FreeBSD 12 will also end by the end of this year.

So the only way forward doing anything meaningful is to upgrade everything to current supported software. That's true for every system. You are running - figuratively speaking - Windows XP.

I would try to reinstall the OnlyOffice app inside nextcloud. If that doesn't work, I would try to reinstall the OnlyOffice server.

This is probably due to a permission error.

Who owns the nextcloud.log file? When you do ls -la from the /var/log folder it should show the owner as www.

Current versions of the script put the log in /var/log/nextcloud/ for permissions reasons. To make this change, from inside the jail, run mkdir /var/log/nextcloud, chown www:www /var/log/nextcloud, then su -m www -c 'php /usr/local/www/nextcloud/occ config:system:set logfile --value="/var/log/nextcloud/nextcloud.log"'.
