Any issues with Installing iDrive Scripts on Truenas Scale

I understand that Truenas Scale is a closed blackbox type system.

Will installing iDrive scripts and cron jobs cause any impacts to Truenas Scale functionality?

I did some research and found that there are only certain accepted methods to make changes to Truenas Scale

It seems like via the web Gui and activation of the cli from the shell.

I have been unable to find a method to update crontab using these configuration methods.

How can I create an acceptable cron job on truenas scale?

Not really...

Those are perl scripts (perl is already included in TrueNAS), so assuming they do nothing nefarious and are stored somewhere durable (not in the boot pool), all should work fine.

Using the GUI to set cron tasks and making sure you only work with your data pool in the script setup would be the only other points.

When reading the IDrive install instructions I noticed that IDrive may needs to download some additional packages to the linux OS

Am I correct that this is NOT recommended?

I will assume that installation of additional packages is not recommended so my second question is that I found with respect to dockers

I found this docker: volkerfr/idrive-docker

This docker does not exist in the catalog.TrueNas Scale catalog

In the TrueNas Docs Using Docker Image I did not see any method of installation of docker not in the catalog

Any suggestions or HOW-TOs?
